Top 5 used sedans to buy in Riyadh

As an ex-pat, you generally don’t want to invest in a new car in Riyadh. Especially for those who are on short-term visas or unsure of their stay duration. A used car is convenient to buy, cost-effective and is available in almost-new condition too.
The Riyadh climate is an added bonus that prevents the rusting of vehicles, which means you can go for almost 5 years old models. Sedans have been popular in the KSA because of SUV restrictions earlier (which was removed in 2018). So which is the best-used option you can go for?

Hyundai Accent

As per Focus 2 Move, the best selling car in 2019 was the Hyundai Accent, surging to 80% and reaching 7.7% of the share. It has two four-cylinder petrol engine options, including a 1.4-litre and a 1.6-litre (available in older models), with multi-point fuel injection, matched to a 6-speed manual 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2016 model is the right choice too, with a swoopy new corporate styling and superb build quality. It features 4-cylinder engines, both with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox options.

Toyota Camry

While the price of the Toyota Camry 2017 in Saudi Arabia is 60,000 with a maximum of 75,750, depending on the model — you can easily get a used one for 45,000-50,000 SAR. Other features include:

Toyota Hilux

The Hilux may is a classy model that made its debut in GCC as a 2016 model year. The 2016 Hilux offers a new 6-speed automatic transmission for a 15% better fuel economy rating than the previous generation model. There are two engine choices — 2.0-litre and 2.7-litre petrol engines. The safety features are front driver and passenger airbags, knee airbag for the driver, ABS, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD) and Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seat-belt equipped on all seats except the centre seat.

Nissan Sunny

Though the 2016 model has been discontinued, it remains popular with those looking for used versions of the Sunny. This is a no-nonsense economy sedan that has a phenomenal resale value and unwavering reliability. The Sunny makes for a great getaway vehicle with a capacious 490L boot space and is very fuel-efficient due to its popularity.

Mazda 6

The Mazda6 has a 2.0-litre and a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder, both direct-injection with high compression ratios. The sedan features both engine options. In the top use models, you can get 19-inch alloy wheels, reverse camera, bi-xenon headlights, daytime running lights, 11-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic a/c with rear vents and a sunroof.
